Since this is the season for dreams, what would be YOUR favorite Cummins conversion?
Mine would be a 3rd generation diesel into either a '91 or so 5-window Chevy pickup or perhaps a Suburban of the same vintage - probably primarily setting the Chevy body onto the later Dodge chassis and running gear.
I've done an engine transplant into the pickup version, a 327 Chevy SB into a '51 truck, and really liked the results - and the use of the 3rd generation platform sure would deliver the best of results - a powerful but quiet powerhouse sleeper capable of MPG as good or better than the original setup.
