Lift Pump p/n - again
June 24th, 2008
This question isn't for a Dodge engine, but it's configured like a 1st gen so I thought I would ask it here. I've been having issues with my cummins intermittently loosing power for a few seconds periodically during steady state operation. I figured it was a lift pump so I put a gauge on it tonight and I'm only getting a couple PSI at idle and just shy of 20 PSI at 2200 rpm no load. This engine is configured with a VE-44 pump and a piston style lift pump and has brand new filters. I assume the pressures I'm getting are not adequate.

So, I've researched and figured out that I have the 3936320 lift pump. Does anyone know what the current Carter part number is (or even a napa or carquest number)? I've looked around and it seems like the 4601hp is no longer a good number.

Thanks!
