Collector car enthusiasts returned to Auburn once again for the tradition of celebrating the automobile over the Labor Day weekend where Auctions America by RM enjoyed a successful debut after only two short months since its formation. The inaugural four-day ‘Auburn Fall Collector Car Auction’ posted $13.4 million in total sales with a 52.7 percent sell through rate of all lots, including motor cars, motorcycles and memorabilia.

The top seller of the weekend was a majestic and rare 1934 Duesenberg Model JN Convertible Sedan by Rollston which went to a telephone bidder for $962,500 in the packed auction arena during the Saturday session.

“Our first Auburn sale exceeded our expectations in every respect,” said Donnie Gould, Auctions America by RM. “But the most rewarding aspect of the weekend was the many compliments received from visitors and clients about the quality of our sale and of the upgrades to the auction park.”

American Classics were the toast of the Auctions America sale, including:
a 1929 Duesenberg Model J 7-passenger Sedan - $357,500
a 1932 Packard Twelve Runabout Speedster by LeBaron - $275,000
a 1938 Lincoln Model  K Convertible Victoria Convertible by Brunn - $200,750

The Auctions America team played host to over 25,000 visitors at the completely renovated Auburn Auction Park from September 2 to 5. In addition to the daily preview of quality automobiles and auction action, the event presented a swap meet, car corral and food vendors.

Auctions America returns to the auction podium March 3, 4 and 5 for the ‘Collector Cars of Fort Lauderdale’ sale at the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center and on April 29, 30 and May 1 for the ‘Auburn Spring Collector Car Auction’ at the Auburn Auction Park.
