Okay, so I had a new idea today about how rough the ride is in the seats. I just have a lot of reservations about spending over 2000 dollars on air ride seats. From what bigkavr says, they're very supportive, but not so much "AHHHH" comfy. I'd like to find a happy medium that would offer some support and be softer than what is there now. It seems to me that the seat is just too hard and doesnt give as much as it needs to. I did a comparison and my 99 feels softer than the 06.

My idea is to completely remove the existing padding and carve some new padding of my own and "Build" a whole new butt & back cushion. When I picked up the piece of padding from the upholstry shop to "flatten the top of the seat", I did the "squeeze test" on several pieces of foam before deciding on the medium density piece I bought and several of them were much firmer and much softer. Im thinking, I could start with some medium density at the bottom and then put a couple of thinner layers of lower density at the top to more cushion my big fat @$$ a bit more.

Thoughts? Ideas?
