I have adjusted the bands several times when servicing the tranny. Just finished fluid and changing the filter. Adjusted the bands as usual using the following ;
Front band - loosen lock nut 4 turns torque to 72 in lbs. back off 1 7/8 torque lock nut 25 ft.lbs.
Rear band back off lock nut 4-5 turns torque to 72 in. lbs back off 3 turns. torque lock nut to 25 ft.lbs.
The only thing different this time is the shift points are a bit different than before. 2-3 shift points are higher. shifts are smooth O/D is normal . Fluid level
checked hot and in the correct area on the dip stick.
The shift cable at the tranny has not been adjusted since new ,however nothing was remover except the spring in order to get at the front band adjustment.
Any ideas as to why the change :confused:
