When changing from winter to summer tires on my 2001 2500 4X4 Quadcab automatic, I checked the brakes. To my unpleasant surprise, the rears were completely soaked in oil, the seals have gone...again. Second time in 105,000 miles. So, I'm thinking since I have to pull the axles, why not install a Lock-Right. The quesiton is, how do I figure out exactly what axle I have so I can get the right parts before I start? I've sent messages to both Dana and Lock-Right (Richmond gear) and have recieved no replies. The rear diff cover is marked:

Dana
46293 2
265 0
Rev D
09 07 95.

The metal tag between two cover bolts (on the driver's side of the unit) is inscribed:

52069468AJ
3:54 606242-1

Okay, so is this a Dana 70? How do I tell how many splines the axles will have?

Your help is greatly appreciated.

John.
