Muffler question
June 11th, 2007
You guys that have swapped out the stock muffler with a straight through (Donaldson, Nelson, Silent Might etc..), how are you getting the stock piping to line up or are you having a new tailpipe bent? I thought I remember a post that says you can make it fit but I don't see how since the original unit had the offset. What about the hangers?....I assume you would have to weld some up either way.

I swapped out my stock muffler with the MBRP replacement (MK96116) a few months ago and I like it a lot when I'm not towing but for the long camping trips it has to go. I figured I would go with the Donaldson M090544 or the Silent Might to keep things quiet.

I also see that Stan's has a cat back bolt on but it has the M085171 Donaldson which I'm not sure will be quiet enough.
