Has anyone solved the problem with the fan clutch not engaging at idle? My A/C works fine as long as the vehicle is cool and/or moving down the road. If it is hot or setting at idle the compressor just cycles and I get warm air out of the vents. The A/C guy put a fan in front of the grill and the A/C worked fine. Told me the fan is not engaging. I Took it to the dealer and he replaced the fan clutch--$550....didn't fix the problem. He then replaced the computer.......didn't fix the problem. I bought my 04 used last year so I didn't know the history. The dealer ran the history and it turns out this is the 3rd time the fan clutch has been replace. The A/C compressor was also replaced. The dealer has given up. I am about to give up and put a pusher fan in front of the a/c coil. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
