Took the plunge and bought a 05 liberty for wife. Clean, 26,000 runs good.
After looking it over it needs some modification imho. The fuel pump and filter for one ( fass, airdog ect). Exhaust for another (remove cat, free flowing system). Gauges of course.
My preliminary research says they have a high rate of failure on the egr valve that is caused by the ecm. Some poeple have disabled the egr valve and claimed good results.
I know that I need more info, does anyone know of a forum for these jeeps.
My other problem is that they were never sold in california so even though it is under warranty it does me no good.
So, of course I am my own warranty station.
