right now my truck has a k&n filter in a modified stock housing

kinda nice cuz the way i have it set up cold air is getting rammed staight into it

i live in so cal so it never rains here

but everyonce in a while i will be towing back from a race and hit a desert shower

question is - what would happen to the wix filter is it got a little wet?

is it a true paper filter?

changing everything else under the hood, thought about building a differnt system.,..
